Eclipse Aura (aura, darkness, occult) 100 feet. Light and shadows morph strangely around the bul-gae. A creature attempting to create a light effect within the aura must attempt a DC 5 flat check. On a failure, the attempt fails, the effect is lost, and the DC to counteract darkness effects within the aura is increased by 1.
Solar Flare (evocation, fire, occult) Trigger The bul-gae takes damage; Effect The bul-gae releases a solar flare in a 30-foot emanation. Each creature in the area takes 6d8 fire damage (DC 38 basic Reflex save). On a critical failure, a creature also takes 2d10 persistent fire damage. After using this ability, the bul-gae’s flames cool and they can’t use Solar Flare again until after they have used Lunar Burst.

On a critical failure, a creature also becomes slowed 2. After using this ability, the bul-gae’s flames heat up and they can’t use Lunar Burst again until after they have used Solar Flare.
Shadow Leap (conjuration, occult, shadow, teleportation) Requirements The bul-gae is in dim light or darkness; Effect The bul-gae dives into a shadow and reappears from another shadow within 40 feet.
Thermal Mastery The bul-gae has total control over the powers of cold and fire. Each time they attack with their jaws, they can choose either cold or fire for the additional damage.
